A dramatic scene played out at the federal high court in Lagos where the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele was arraigned this morning.
Recall that Emefiele was arraigned today by the DSS for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition but was granted bail in the sum of N20 million with one surety.
Vanguard reported that shortly after the bail was granted, a scuffle ensued between operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and officials of Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) over who will take custody of the defendant.
It was also gathered that two Hilux vehicles belonging to the two government agencies are currently positioned near the entrance of the court.
