Men of the Adamawa State police command have arrested a 36-year-old resident of Anguwar Diocese Kala’a in Hong local government of the state, Jafaru Adamu in connection to the alleged rape of his 21-year-old neighbor’s wife.
A statement by the image maker of the command, SP Sulaiman Nguroje said the suspect on August 15 in the afternoon took advantage of the absence of the husband of the survivor to commit the heinous act.
“Investigation, so far reveals that the suspect was wearing a black face mask and also carried a knife which he used in threatening the victim to comply with his demands. Unfortunately while committing the act his mask fell off. He thereafter fled the crime scene through the window after the survivor recognized him,” Nguroje said
The statement added that the incident was reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters Kala’a by the survivor’s husband.
