Media personality and former Presidential media aide, Reuben Abati, has said that the press conference held by the Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, was needless, adding that he should consider a career in Evangelism.
Recall that on Wednesday, October 11, Obi had a press conference in which he stated that the controversy surrounding President Tinubu’s certificate is embarrassing as everyone now sees Nigerians as forgers.
Sharing his opinion on Arise TV this morning during his program, Abati said Obi’s press conference was needless and appeared he was seeking media attention.
In his words;
Share this story to friends‘’I saw the press conference by Peter Obi. I thought it was needless. If Peter Obi is considering a career in Evangelism..there are many people who have gone from other careers into evangelism. Within the framework of the electoral process, what he did yesterday was just in my view seeking media attention looking for publicity.
Why do I say so? The electoral process is effectively a process if you as a principal member of the process, if you have any grieviances, the best place to go to is the court of law and this is what Atiku Abubakar has done, pursuing his matter in the court of law.
The last time Atiku had a press conference. He came out and said he wanted the candidate of the NNPP Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi of the Labour party to join him. The Labour party released a statement and said they were not part of it. Is it that now they Labour party has changed its mind?
The only appropriate forum that Peter Obi can adopt is to go to court”
