The Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the 2027 general election, Rt Hon Nnamdi Ezechi; has dedicated his victory in the May 16, 2026 primary election to God, with whom all things are possible.
Hon Ezechi, in a thank you message, after he was declared the winner by the State Returning Officer for the primaries in the Federal Constituency, who is also the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon Godknows Angele; said he was humbled by the massive support he received from party faithful in Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani LGAs, culminating in his landslide victory.
His message reads:
I specially thanked His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, for his visionary leadership and religious implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, which has boosted the confidence of Nigerians in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
My profound gratitude also goes to our amiable performing Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, who, through the MORE Agenda of his administration, has impacted positively on the people of Ndokwa nation in particular, and Deltans in general.
Suffice to say that the good works of Mr. President and our indefatigable Governor were instrumental in my victory because the alignment of the centre with the Delta State Government renewed the hope of Deltans in the APC government, and increased support for the party.
May I also warmly extend my gratitude to the State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme; FCA, a proud and worthy son of Ndokwa nation, for his tutelage and encouragement of younger politicians in Ndokwa land to learn the ropes, aspire for leadership positions and grow in politics.
My political journey would not be complete without the mention of the immediate past Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa; under whom I served in different capacities before my election to the National Assembly in 2023.
Your Excellency Sir, the experience I gained under your leadership helped to shape and prepare me for higher responsibilities in the National Assembly, where I have diligently and effectively represented the people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani for three years and still counting, consequent upon which our party has nominated me to re-contest in the 2027 election.
The National Working Committee (NWC), and State Working Committee (SWC) of our great party, I thank you. The internal democracy, members’ loyalty and unity in the APC, which played out in the just concluded primaries couldn’t have been possible without you. Please continue with this trajectory to guarantee resounding success of our party in the 2027 elections.
My thanks go also to the Chairmen and Executives of the APC in Ndokwa East, Ndokwa West and Ukwuani LGAs, the Ward Chairmen in the Federal Constituency and their Executives, party leaders, stakeholders, support groups, women and youths, for ensuring that the primaries were peaceful and orderly.
To my co-aspirants, especially Mathias Osanebi, and Ikechukwu Ani, who stepped down, I remain eternally grateful to you for making the journey easy for me. To others who contested with me, namely: Rt Hon Ossai Nicholas Ossai, and Hon Chukwuemeka Victor, I thank you for testing your popularity and for conceding defeat, in the spirit of sportsmanship, while urging you to join hands with me to prosecute the election for the greater good of our party and our Federal Constituency.
I cannot do it alone. I need the support and cooperation of all party faithful, including the leaders, elders, women, youths, persons living with disabilities, among others, to go into the election and come out successful. Please let us rekindle the massive support demonstrated in the primary election in the main election.
May God continue to bless and keep you strong and healthy in Jesus name.
