As schools in Delta State resume for 2024/2025 academic session reprieve came the way of pupils of Ezedogume Model Primary School, Olie Primary School, Ogbe Ogume and Ogume Grammar School, Ogume as an illustrious son Mr Chukwuma Ossaiga donated notebooks and textbooks to the students.

The colourful ceremony held today at the premises of the schools. Mr Ossaiga was represented by Mr Christopher Okochi.

The students, parents and the management of the schools were all in joyous mood and showered encomiums on Mr Ossaiga.

“This young man has reduced my burden even though I don’t know him. God bless him real good,” said one of the parents.

In a telephone chat with Ndokwa Vanguard Mr Chukwuma Ossaiga said he came up with this empowerment programme to the students because he knows that times are hard and not many parents can afford notebooks not to talk of textbooks at the current economic brouhaha.

Again, “it’s in my character to encourage learning and the best I could do was to support in any way I could.”
He used the occasion of the interview to call on money bags to invest in education in order to have the best brains in the society.

He equally urged the students to focus on their career and never to see education as a scam.

” I was a student like you. I started my career in Ezedogume Model Primary School Ogbe Ogume and Ogume Grammar School, Ogume.

If I didn’t show commitment to my studies I probably may not have gotten to the level I have reached in my career. Education is key,” he intones.
