The Commissioner for Finance Delta State Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije has Empowers over 100 Vulnerable person’s in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta state.
The empowerment was targeted to cover the most vulnerable persons in his constituents irrespective of party affiliation.
According to the finance commissioner, the empowerment will last till 2027 and it will be rational to accommodate many.
Tilije said, This is my little way to give back to my people and support them in their different businesses ” I know 100,000 will not be enough but it will go a very long way solving some financial challenges in the life of vulnerables”.
The empowerment cut across the ten Wards in the local government starting from April 2025 till 2027 and trends to cover the most vulnerable persons, said we have done the first trench, next is May till 2027.
At the event , the finance commissioner frowned at the coordinators who played politics in the selection process, warned that in the next trench , let the targeted vulnerable be seen and taken care of, he stated.
The beneficiaries thanked the commissioner for the financial support and the governor of Delta State Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori who gave him the platform for the empowerment.
