We Will Continue To Partner With Religious Leaders —- Ajede

The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon. Barr. C.S.P Ajede has affirmed his administratives commitment to the welfare of the youth and people of the Local Government.


The chairman made this statement in his office Obiaruku,the headquarter of the Local Government while playing host to the Executive members of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Ukwuani Chapter, saying he was humbled by the visit, expressing his gratitude to the Association for the role it played before , during and after the elections and prayed God almighty to bless CAN.


The capacity chairman added that it was important to interact with CAN so as to have a holistic approach to the programmes of the Local Government, emphasizing that it was imperative to invest in the youth through the ICT/AI projects.


Hon. Ajede expressed his heartfelt condolence to prophet Kent Alomona , chairman of CAN Ukwuani Chapter,on the demise of his wife promising that the Local Government would be fully involved in the burial ceremony.
Barr. Ajede admonished the body to be involved in protecting government structures through interacting with the youth in policies and programmes to promote development instead of planning protest that will be hijacked to destroy existing infrastructure. He also promised to see what could be done to help in developing the new Secretariat of CAN under construction as pleaded by the association.


Earlier,Ven. Frank Emeni on behalf of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) thanked the Executive Chairman for recognizing and working with the body during his first term in office. The Clergy added that CAN was in his office to heartily Congratulate him on the Election victory during the just concluded Local Government Elections.


Ven. Emeni further told the chairman that CAN would always partner with him in his DO MORE AGENDA of the present administration, praying for lasting peace in the Local Government and Delta State in general to enable the Local Government surpass the peace experienced in his first tenure.
