Delta North All Progressive Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta state governor and Senator Ned Nwoko ahead of the 2027 general election.
The endorsement came during the Delta North APC stakeholder’s meeting held at Senator Ned’s Home-town in Idumje-Ugboko.
The event was well attended by top APC stakeholders, party faithful from the nine-local governments of Delta North.
Speaking at the event, the distinguished Senator, representing Delta North, Senator Ned Nwoko recalled that the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress said during his visit to the state had assured that the creation of Anioma state was a done deal.
Senator Nwoko disclosed further that over 75 Senators at the national assembly have thrown their weight behind the creation of the Anioma state, saying a public hearing has been scheduled to be held from 4-6 July in Uyo
The senator maintained that a technical committee will be inaugurated in Asaba for the support of the Anioma state creation.
In his goodwill message, former speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei commended leaders, party faithful for their massive turn-out at the stakeholder’s meeting, saying, “the party has grown in leaps and bounds across the state”.
Honourable Ochei said “it is time to bring everybody on board to have a united family, the leadership has to come together and others follow. Delta North, we are in support to return President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Senator Ned Nwoko”
“Leadership comes with structure, discipline and party politics has rules which must be followed, issues must be resolved through dialogue. No one should be pushed out, those coming in should be welcomed with open arms.” he said.
He, however, called on the senatorial Chairman to call a joint meeting of all leaders and stakeholders, both existing and new, for the purpose of harmonization.
