The Umu Ezeti Town Hall Platform proudly joins the management, staff, and students of Olieogo Secondary School, Olieogo, Umuseti, in celebrating one year of outstanding and transformative leadership by Mrs Dorothy Ifeoma Esonye, Principal of the school.
Since assuming office in January 2025, Mrs Esonye has brought renewed energy, clear vision, and purposeful action to Olieogo Secondary School. In just one year, she has introduced impactful academic and extracurricular programmes that have reawakened interest in the school and drawn the wider community back into its life.
Under her leadership, the school achieved remarkable milestones. Olieogo Secondary School proudly qualified for and participated in the National Youth Sports Tournament held in Asaba, Delta State. The school football team also qualified for the Principals Cup competition in Ndokwa West Local Government and progressed to the semi-final before being eliminated. For the first time, the school hosted a successful Christmas Carol service, alongside other high-quality programmes and events rarely seen in public schools across Ndokwa West and its surrounding areas. The inter-house sports competition and the STEM Career Day stand out as some of the most organised and inspiring events in the school’s history.
Today, Olieogo Secondary School competes favourably with private schools in the area in terms of standards, confidence, and student engagement. This progress is a clear reflection of purposeful leadership, teamwork, and belief in what a public school can achieve.
Speaking on behalf of the Umu Ezeti Town Hall Platform, Ambassador Chuks Ododo, Coordinator of the Platform, expressed deep appreciation to Mrs Esonye for what she has accomplished within such a short period. He noted that her work has restored pride, discipline, and aspiration among students and staff alike.
Ambassador Ododo reaffirmed that the Umu Ezeti Town Hall Platform remains fully committed to partnering with Olieogo Secondary School. Through the Umuseti Vision 2035: Empowering Futures Project, the Platform will continue to support initiatives that ensure students gain positive destinations, practical and hands-on skills, and meaningful exposure alongside their academic certificates by the end of their school years.
As we celebrate this first anniversary, we honour a leader who has shown that with vision, commitment, and courage, transformation is possible. We look forward to many more years of growth, excellence, and opportunity at Olieogo Secondary School.
Congratulations, Mrs Dorothy Ifeoma Esonye, and congratulations to the entire Olieogo Secondary School community.
