The maiden meeting of Executive Members of Okukwe Ogume Development Association (CEXCO) took place on 5th June 2022. CEXCO members resolved to prioritize Education growth in Ogume and decides to start with the following:
- Carry out a research to uncover the gaps/conditions of the primary
& post schools in Ogume - Have meetings with the Heads of our Primary & Secondary schools,
at least twice a year. - The group shall provide incentives/rewards
to the Heads of the schools based on students’ success in their
external examinations such as WASSCE, NECO, NBTEB and JAMB. - Award to students who perform excellently in external and Internal
examinations in subjects that are relevant to studying STEM. - Award of prizes for excellence to students in JS 1&2 including those
in SS 1&2 in internal examinations on the relevant subjects stated
above. - Encourage the Headmasters in primary schools to register our
children for entrance examinations into FG Secondary schools
(Unity Schools) as a yearly routine. - Appoint Mentors for our Gifted children at our Secondary Schools
to help their focus & academic trajectory
